Louis D'Onofrio Jr. is a certified family nurse practitioner and has worked in health care since 2007. Louis graduated with his Doctorate at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR (woo pig sooie!), holds a master's degree from Fairfield University and completed his undergraduate degree at the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. Louis was on the track and field team at the Catholic University of America as a discus and shot put thrower. Louis is a local Nutmegger, as he was born in New Haven, CT and grew up in New Haven county.
Louis completed his clinical training at Greenwich-New Haven Hospital and the Veteran Affairs (VA) Hospital in West Haven, CT. Louis took a position at the VA Hospital's Center of Excellence in Primary Care Education residency training program and worked in an interdisciplinary medical model prior to starting his own practice.
Besides being a primary care provider at Best Health Primary Care, Louis is currently a professor at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) and formerly held a position as the Director of Clinical Care at the Westport Weston Health District in Westport, CT and as an Adjunct Professor at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.
In his free time Louis enjoys playing with his two children, trying new foods, and watching movies with his wife and children.
